This journey is born from the blend of our tours’ most iconic highlights: the Civic Market—a true map of Sardinia’s food geography—and the city’s medieval districts, rich with history and cultural heritage.
We will begin by discovering and tasting the delicacies of the market’s historic stalls: fruit, seafood, and olive oils produced in harmony with the seasons and traditional techniques. Every tasting is tied to a real story—of families, craftsmanship, and the land.
Leaving the market, we will head towards Villanova. Once an urban vegetable garden and home to important religious institutions, today it is inhabited by a community dedicated to preserving its authenticity. It is a place of small workshops, independent spaces, and historic spots that tell the different souls of the city through food. In one of these legendary bars—a local favorite for nearly 200 years—we will take a few minutes to relax with a typically Cagliaritan sweet or savory snack and a fine coffee.
Recharged and refreshed, we will make our way up to Castello, the heart of medieval Cagliari. Here, you will find breathtaking panoramas, noble palaces, the Cathedral with its crypt, and the vestiges of nearly a thousand years of history and legends.
The final gastronomic stop will be the crown jewel of our tour: a tasting of cheeses, cured meats, and wines from exceptional small local producers.
